Senior Project Manager
About Us
We're Thrive Learning, and we’re changing the way people learn at work. We believe learning should be easy, effective, and empowering, not a chore. That’s why we built the industry’s first truly modern, all-in-one learning experience. We didn’t just create a new product; we rewrote the rulebook.
Doing things differently is in our DNA. Our technology is helping over 3 million people worldwide unlock their potential and grow their careers. You've probably heard of some of the brands we work with, like Volvo, Vodafone, Krispy Kreme, and Sky. They trust us to deliver learning experiences that their people actually want to use.
We’re the fastest-growing learning technology company for a reason. Do you want to be part of a team that’s building something that matters and helping people thrive?
The Role
Location: Remote or hybrid if located close to an office.
As a Senior Project Manager at Thrive, you'll lead the delivery of our most complex and high-value customer implementations, setting the standard for how great onboarding is done. Working alongside our exceptional Professional Services Team, you'll own end-to-end delivery of strategic, multi-stakeholder projects — aligning our all-in-one, AI-powered LMS platform with each customer's success objectives and wider business goals.
This is a hands-on, technically grounded role. You'll project manage the full technical delivery of customer projects — from requirements gathering and system configuration to data migration, integration, testing and launch — overseeing complex LMS integrations such as HRIS, SSO, SCORM/xAPI content, analytics and APIs, and working closely with Product and Engineering on enhancements that align with customer objectives.
Beyond running your own portfolio, you'll raise the bar for the whole team: coaching other Project Managers, shaping how the PMO works, and acting as the trusted escalation point when projects get tough. Our products and services are used by some of the most recognisable brands in the world, including Emirates, Google, Volvo, Vodafone, Frasers Group, Burger King and ASOS — and these are the types of accounts you'll be trusted to deliver.
Our people bring the passion and never stop collaborating. We're brave and innovative, and we trust in our teams. We ensure the best space for our people to do their best work. Want to lead with us? Check out the full role details below.
Core Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
Own end-to-end delivery of our most complex, high-value and high-risk implementation projects, from scoping through to go-live and beyond.
Operate with autonomy in ambiguous situations, setting direction and a clear path where one doesn't yet exist.
Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures and resource allocation strategies for projects of significant scale and complexity.
Gain deep expertise across Thrive's product suite, ensuring technical deliverables meet platform requirements and customer needs.
Partner with cross-functional teams to establish technical specifications, architecture and design frameworks.
Technical Delivery & Integrations
Lead the technical delivery of LMS implementation projects, ensuring seamless configuration, data migration and third-party integrations (e.g. HR systems, CRM, content libraries).
Review customer technical requirements, detailed specifications and user stories to ensure clarity of scope and alignment to the needs documented in the statement of work.
Project manage API setup and testing, automation of user provisioning (e.g. SCIM), and SCORM/xAPI content compatibility testing.
Oversee UAT cycles and coordinate the resolution of technical defects and feature gaps.
Product Development Collaboration
Serve as the technical bridge between customers and Thrive's Product & Engineering teams to support solution design and feature rollouts within the implementation phase.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering during implementation to shape features and functionality where client needs impact the roadmap.
Ensure client feedback from implementation is captured and looped into product iteration discussions.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Mentor and coach other Project Managers, sharing expertise and lifting the capability of the wider team.
Act as an escalation point for colleagues facing delivery challenges, helping to unblock and resolve issues.
Provide clear leadership and direction, fostering a collaborative, motivated and high-performing project environment.
Shaping How We Work
Develop and continuously improve the PMO's playbooks, templates, delivery standards and ways of working.
Turn lessons from individual projects into repeatable, scalable practice across the team.
Champion best practice in project management, driving consistency and quality across all implementations.
Customer Advocacy & Commercial Awareness
Build strong, trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, fostering long-term advocacy.
Anticipate customer needs and challenges, resolving issues promptly to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Spot expansion opportunities, protect project margin, and flag risks to renewals — seeing the whole account, not just the project.
Gather and act on customer feedback to continuously improve delivery and outcomes.
Consistently deliver high customer satisfaction by aligning results with client expectations and success metrics.
Stakeholder Management
Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders up to executive and sponsor level, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
Incorporate stakeholder feedback into project planning and execution to enhance outcomes.
Risk & Change Management
Identify potential risks early and establish robust contingency plans to mitigate their impact.
Monitor, manage and resolve project risks and issues to avoid delays or disruptions.
Manage the full lifecycle of change requests, including assessment, authorisation, planning and implementation.
Identify and mitigate risks to availability, performance, security and compliance arising from changes.
Reporting & Documentation
Deliver regular project updates, status reports and post-project evaluations to stakeholders, including at senior level.
Maintain clear, detailed project documentation, including plans, meeting notes and artefacts.

What to Expect
We believe that finding a new job should be an enjoyable process. We’re passionate about bringing our whole selves to work, so what you see is what you get. All we ask from you, is that you show us your authentic self. We’re looking for people who bring something new to the team, who add to our culture and make it even greater. Our interview stages will be:
Initial Screening Call: If we think you're a great addition to the team, you'll be invited to an introductory call with a member of our People Team. This is a chance to tell you about Thrive and give you an opportunity to ask questions.
First-Stage Interview: Following the initial call, you will have a first-stage interview with a member of the team you'd be joining. This is a chance for us to get to know you better and for you to ask any questions about the role. We'll also discuss why Thrive interests you and what you feel you can add to our team.
Second-Stage Interview: You will meet with the Hiring Manager and/or a senior team member for a final interview. This stage is typically used for a more in-depth discussion and may involve a review of your assessment.
Final Stage Interview: Here, you will meet with our Co-CEO. This interview is focused on getting to know you better as a person, understanding your values, motivations, and career aspirations, and exploring how you align with Thrive's culture and vision. It's also an opportunity for you to ask any final questions and learn more about the direction of the business and what it's like to be part of the team.
At Thrive, we’re on a mission to build an inclusive, welcoming culture that encourages and actively supports diversity. Our race, gender, religion, background, sexuality and beliefs are what make us unique. Our people are expected to always treat each other with respect, care and compassion. This starts from the moment you apply for a role at Thrive Learning, so we want you know we’re an equal opportunity employer.
