Head of AI Transformation
Applied AI for Internal Enablement
Full-time - Remote / Hybrid (Nottingham and Brighton)
AI is no longer a future consideration; it's redefining how high-performing teams operate today.
We're hiring a Head of AI Transformation to lead the charge internally: building the workflows, agents, and systems that make every team at Thrive Learning faster, sharper, and more effective.
This isn't a strategy-and-slides role. It's hands-on, high-impact, and built for someone who loves shipping things that actually get used.
About Us
We're Thrive Learning, and we’re changing the way people learn at work. We believe learning should be easy, effective, and empowering, not a chore. That’s why we built the industry’s first truly modern, all-in-one learning experience. We didn’t just create a new product; we rewrote the rulebook.
Doing things differently is in our DNA. Our technology is helping over 3 million people worldwide unlock their potential and grow their careers. You've probably heard of some of the brands we work with, like Volvo, Vodafone, Krispy Kreme, and Sky. They trust us to deliver learning experiences that their people actually want to use.
We’re the fastest-growing learning technology company for a reason. Do you want to be part of a team that’s building something that matters and helping people thrive?
What you'll do
Redesign how we work with AI
Identify the highest-friction, most time-intensive processes across every department and systematically replace manual effort with intelligent, automated workflows.
Partner with our CEOs and department leads to map current-state operations and define what great looks like with AI embedded end-to-end.
Own the full build cycle from problem identification through to live deployment and adoption.
Build and deploy internal AI agents
Design, build, and maintain reusable AI tools and agents that teams rely on in their daily work.
Create a library of internal AI assets: prompt libraries, agent templates, workflow automations and integrations across our core toolstack.
Ensure tools are robust, documented, and easy for non-technical teammates to pick up and use independently.
Ensure all AI tools, workflows, and third-party integrations are assessed for security, compliance, and data privacy risks before deployment, maintaining governance standards across every implementation.
Drive adoption and upskill the business
Roll out new tools with a structured change management approach making adoption seamless.
Train teams on how to integrate AI into their daily workflows, tailoring sessions to different roles and maturity levels.
Develop playbooks, prompt guides, and best-practice documentation that teams can self-serve from.
Act as the internal go-to for all things AI: fielding questions, unblocking teams, solutionising and maintaining momentum.
Advise on product and support customer-facing work
Partner with the product team to shape how AI capabilities are reflected in our platform roadmap, bringing an inside-out perspective from your operational work.
Consult with customers on their own AI adoption journeys, translating internal learnings into frameworks and guidance that help customers get more value from Kiki - Thrive’s own AI agent.
Partner with customers on their AI transformation, running discovery sessions, shaping implementation plans, and supporting delivery to ensure real-world impact.
Experiment fast and ship quickly
Maintain a live pipeline of AI experiments; rapid-testing new tools, models, and approaches before committing to full builds.
Build MVPs in days, not weeks. Validate with teams for pilots before scaling to the business.
Stay at the frontier of all AI tooling and proactively bring relevant new capabilities to the business.
Measure and optimise for impact
Define and track productivity metrics such as time saved, manual effort eliminated, adoption rates, and revenue impact.
Build reporting to evidence ROI that demonstrates value and guides prioritisation.
What we're looking for
Experience
Hands-on experience applying AI tools in a real business context — you've built things, not just advised on them.
Background in operations, growth, product, or another highly execution-focused environment.
A track record of improving workflows end-to-end, not just designing them on paper.
Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing department leads.
Technical capability
Strong working knowledge of LLM tools, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and the broader AI tooling landscape.
Hands-on experience with automation platforms: Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar.
Able to design structured prompts, build multi-step workflows, and create lightweight tools without needing a full engineering team.
Experience with scripting, low-code development and agent frameworks
What success looks like
Month 1–2 - Deep audit of highest-friction processes complete. First AI workflows live across three key departments (Sales, Marketing and Customer Operations).
Month 3–6 - All departments use AI daily. Prompt playbooks and training materials shipped. First AI agents deployed.
Month 6–12 - AI is part of how we operate. Measurable reduction in manual work across core workflows. AI embedded in key processes. ROI tracking in place. Customer-facing and product-focused AI consulting to take shape.
We're not looking for someone to run workshops and write strategy decks. We're looking for a specialist and hands-on builder who has experience implementing AI and is ready to apply it to a business that’s scaling fast.

What to Expect
We believe that finding a new job should be an enjoyable process. We’re passionate about bringing our whole selves to work, so what you see is what you get. All we ask from you, is that you show us your authentic self. We’re looking for people who bring something new to the team, who add to our culture and make it even greater. Our interview stages will be:
Initial Screening Call: If we think you're a great addition to the team, you'll be invited to an introductory call with a member of our People Team. This is a chance to tell you about Thrive and give you an opportunity to ask questions.
First-Stage Interview: Following the initial call, you will have a first-stage interview with a member of the team you'd be joining. This is a chance for us to get to know you better and for you to ask any questions about the role. We'll also discuss why Thrive interests you and what you feel you can add to our team.
Assessment Task: We may ask you to complete a practical assignment or case study between interview stages.
Final Stage Interview: You will meet with the Hiring Manager and/or a senior team member for a final interview. This stage is typically used for a more in-depth discussion and may involve a review of your assessment.
At Thrive, we’re on a mission to build an inclusive, welcoming culture that encourages and actively supports diversity. Our race, gender, religion, background, sexuality and beliefs are what make us unique. Our people are expected to always treat each other with respect, care and compassion. This starts from the moment you apply for a role at Thrive Learning, so we want you know we’re an equal opportunity employer. We will always strive to be as inclusive as possible in all aspects of employment and have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind.
