Product Manager – Skills, Goals, and Continuous Professional Development
About Us
We're Thrive Learning, and we’re changing the way people learn at work. We believe learning should be easy, effective, and empowering, not a chore. That’s why we built the industry’s first truly modern, all-in-one learning experience. We didn’t just create a new product; we rewrote the rulebook.
Doing things differently is in our DNA. Our technology is helping over 3 million people worldwide unlock their potential and grow their careers. You've probably heard of some of the brands we work with, like Volvo, Vodafone, Krispy Kreme, and Sky. They trust us to deliver learning experiences that their people actually want to use.
We’re the fastest-growing learning technology company for a reason. Do you want to be part of a team that’s building something that matters and helping people thrive?
The Role
We’re hiring a Product Manager to lead the evolution of Skills, Goals, and Continuous Professional Development within Thrive. These are critical product pillars that enable employees to develop, track progress, and evidence their growth — whether for career advancement or regulatory compliance.
In particular, this role will:
- Build and scale our Skills and Goals products into market-leading solutions that serve a broad range of sectors.
- Redesign and expand Continuous Professional Development functionality, ensuring it is fit for regulated industries where customers must present robust evidence to oversight bodies — while also making the experience intuitive and motivating for all employees.
- Introduce unique, differentiating features that set Thrive apart, modernising what is often a stale, compliance-heavy space and transforming it into an engaging part of the employee journey.
This is a highly cross-functional role, working with customers, industry experts, our internal engineering, design, and support teams, and external partners to deliver solutions that are both compliant and delightful.
Core Responsibilities
- Owning the Skills, Goals, and Continuous Professional Development product area, from strategy to delivery, aligning to Thrive’s mission and customer needs.
- Reviewing existing functionality and creating a strategic roadmap to evolve Skills and Goals into scalable, widely adopted features.
- Leading the modernisation of Continuous Professional Development, ensuring the framework meets oversight and evidence requirements in regulated sectors while remaining engaging for employees across all industries.
- Collaborating with engineering to deliver scalable features, frameworks, and reporting that balance compliance with usability.
- Running customer discovery with regulated and non-regulated industries to capture use cases, pain points, and expectations.
- Working closely with the Design team to build intuitive user experiences — especially around compliance and progress tracking workflows.
- Partnering with Customer Success and Sales to support pre-sales, solution design, and discovery conversations.
- Defining metrics to track adoption, engagement, and compliance success, while continually optimising for impact.
- Creating enablement resources and documentation that help scale knowledge across the business and support customer adoption.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS, HRTech, or learning platforms.
- Proven track record of shaping and shipping products in areas such as skills management, goal setting, competency frameworks, or Continuous Professional Development/compliance tooling.
- Familiarity with competency frameworks, professional accreditation standards, or compliance reporting requirements.
- Strong technical fluency — able to collaborate effectively with engineers and understand system architecture, data flows, and reporting requirements.
- Strong discovery skills — able to transform complex user needs into clear, prioritised product requirements.
- Experience working in agile cross-functional teams, using tools like Jira, Productboard, or Notion.
- Excellent communication — able to simplify complex topics and engage with diverse audiences.
Desirable Skills
- Prior experience in LMS, LXP, or HRTech ecosystems.
- Experience working with regulated industries (e.g. finance, healthcare, legal, aviation) or compliance-focused solutions.
- Experience delivering unique product innovations in regulated or compliance-heavy contexts.

What to Expect
We believe that finding a new job should be an enjoyable process. We’re passionate about bringing our whole selves to work, so what you see is what you get. All we ask from you, is that you show us your authentic self. We’re looking for people who bring something new to the team, who add to our culture and make it even greater.
If we think you'd be a great addition to our team, we'll invite you to a first stage interview with someone from the team. This will be a call to get to know you and for you to ask any questions about the role. We’ll also find out why Thrive interests you and what you feel you can add to our team. At second stage we will dive deeper into your background, skills and experience.
At Thrive, we’re on a mission to build an inclusive, welcoming culture that encourages and actively supports diversity. Our race, gender, religion, background, sexuality and beliefs are what make us unique. Our people are expected to always treat each other with respect, care and compassion. This starts from the moment you apply for a role at Thrive Learning, so we want you know we’re an equal opportunity employer. We will always strive to be as inclusive as possible in all aspects of employment and have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind.
