As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a diligent and organised Finance Assistant to support our day-to-day financial operations
Role Overview
This is a key support role within the Finance team. The Finance Assistant will handle a variety of finance and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of transactional processes and helping maintain financial accuracy and compliance. You will work closely with our CFO and wider team to support finance operations across the business. This role is remote with occasional travel to our Bingham office.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Manage and review Payhawk transactions and processes
- Process and review employee expenses
- Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate entry into the system
- Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Chase missing sales POs from clients or internal teams
- Register new suppliers and maintain accurate supplier records
- Raise and send sales invoices to customers
- Debt collection process
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
- Chase missing receipts from internal stakeholders
- Set up new employees on various systems
- Process leavers, including system removal and final pay processes
- Keep employee details and finance records up to date
- Supporting the wider finance team with adhoc queries/tasks
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
- Good communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience using Payhawk or similar expense management platforms
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth business
